Yoga, baby!

I started a new yoga class yesterday evening, and boy was it wonderful! I was a little nervous, because I don't usually like classes. I am a solo exerciser, except when it comes to running - I love to run with a partner and talk until we're done running! LOL! I went to the class, and the teacher was magnificent! The teacher makes such a difference. I have signed up for yoga classes before, but was so unimpressed with the the instructors that I only attended one or two classes and then went back to my solo exercise.

I'm getting really brave and trying a different type of yoga class on Thursday night, which is supposed to be very strenuous and difficult - that alone caught my attention! Always up for something difficult - Love a challenge!

The downfall of my class - my wrists already hurt. Yeah, they are sore - there is a lot of wrist work in yoga, and I know it's just building up strength in the areas that I have let go over the years, but they are sore. I hope that they will mend themselves and I will be able to enjoy the next few weeks in classes - and hopefully slim down and tone up!

The upside of yoga? Mindfulness, sleek muscles, clarity, and the best part is that I get to see my muscles shake when women ten years older than me are doing the positions like they're cake! (I'd like some cake!)

Anyone else a yoga baby?
