Women's Nutrition: Good Food?

Good Food

What do you think of when you hear “good food”? Chocolate? Cheetos? If you’re like most women you struggle with what tastes good and what is good. We all know that carrots and broccoli are good for us, but how many of us include them in our diet? One way to test if a food is good for your body and mind is to ask yourself where it came from. If the answer is, “it says on the bottle it came from Detroit”, or “well originally the peanut came from the ground but the caramel and chocolate, I’m not sure” then more than likely you should pass. You are looking for simple answers, “the ground”, “a tree”, “a field”, and for us carnivores “a cow”. So much of our food is over processed that we begin to forget what real food tastes like. At first they may taste bland, but remember your taste buds have been totally desensitized. You will begin to appreciate real foods and your body, mind, and complexion will too.

Come share your food experiences and healthy tips with other women who probably have an ongoing battle with chocolate too, at the Women’s Forum. Swap some recipes and have some fun! Discuss women’s health and other topics with women like yourself!
