Vacation Bug

I just walked through the door after another long day of work.  I guess you could call it work.  Five of the six kids were at school. ( I work with autistic kids, for those of you who don't already know)  The other little guy was home sick, the last to be.  For 2 weeks now, we've been sending them home one by one.  Anyway, we're not doing any "real" work, no descrete trials (ABA method of teaching autistic kids), just fun "work".  It's very physically and mentally draining sometimes.  I've been exhausted of late, just can't seem to catch up on much needed sleep.  The house is in need of a good cleaning, etc.  You all know the drill.  I've just been out of sorts, a little down in the dumps.  It didn't hit me until today that I've been suffering from the vacation bug!

That's right, the dreaded vacation bug.  I so need  to get away from life's daily rat race.  Well, I just have to wait two weeks!  I have a feeling that these 2 weeks are going to pass at a snail's pace!  I'm outta here for 10 days to Dewey Beach in Deleware.  My d/h's sister and bil have a beautiful place down there.  It's not right on the beach but only a couple minutes' walk!  I cannot wait until I can sit seaside and just let the ocean sounds soothe my soul.  I can feel the summer sun beating down upon me.  I need all the vitamin D I can get!!!  Maybe, I can get Three Junes read too so that I can finally participate in some conversations in the Book Club!

TH, I now know first hand what the anticipation of one's summer vacation feels like!
