To be honest...

You know what I love about kids? Is there ability to be totally completely honest. If I am not sure of how my dress looks I ask my 8 year old or my 6 year old because I know they will tell me if it doesn't look good. It's so cute how they can say your tummy  looks fat or your hair looks messy after you just spent 45 mins trying to make it look cute. Granted sometimes they are brutally honest but at what point in our lives did we find it offensive to be honest. Not just honest but child like honest. I have noticed my son and my daughter have started telling stories, they make up some lie and then wait for me to respond then say just kidding....hmmm are they coming to the age that child like honesty diminishes, and they will start agreeing with there friends even if deep inside they disagree. We all know the feeling of not wanting to start an argument so we lie in order to please....Why do we do that? why would we get angry if someone we know, trust and confide in tells us what they really think???  I am going to start being totally honest about everything, Not so much like a kid because lets face it, we do have teach them that just because the person standing in front of us at the grocery store is bald or fat or hairy doesn't make it ok to announce it to everyone who can hear. And besides most people are aware of their flaws, we can spare the embarassment of pointing them out. But if someone asks me something or wants my opinion I am going to be as honest as my 6 year old would be if I asked her how my dress looks. I think this could be hard. I hope I still have friends when all is said and done LOL...
