The Nerd Gets the Girl
I first became aquainted with him as Warren Chesnik on the NBC series Ed back around 2000 - 2003. Very good show and he played a great high school outcast. He also played a kind of art freak in the Jennifer Anniston movie The Break Up and is in the Mac commercials as the young counterpart to the older, backwards PC.
What does all of this mean? Well, it is exciting beacuse it breaks the traditional stereotype of the cute Hollywood starlet going after the big, bad, drug-induced hottie guy. Guess they finally know what the rest of us have figured out - well, maybe not in out teens and twenties but certainly by our thirties, right?
Don't get me wrong...my husband is not a nerd. He is quite attractive and presentable but he also is a "nice guy." Not that I have a problem with that. Nice guys are great...they grocery shop, cook dinner (every once in awhile), and help out with the kids. These are good things. I'm happy for Drew that she found a solid, dependable guy. That gives me hope for the rest of Hollywood. Hope Paris and Lindsay read the article!
