Spring Break Mess

I had big family time plans for Spring Break, and we're really enjoying it! We've seen movies, played games, even played outside. Our rules have been lax, and our fun has been plentiful. It's been 3 wonderful days..

Then comes this morning, when no one has slept for three days and there are a few real errands to be run, everyone is a little bit cranky, and no one wants to take a little rest and recurperate from our fun! It's been three wonderful days! Today, however, does not hold the same promise of smiles.

So I do the Mommy thing and plan errands around fun activities. We're shoed and brushed, clothed and almost off of that front porch when it hits me.., lo and behold our new tiny little puppy has been forgotten between the morning whines and pleas for cooperation. We all scramble back inside to find little Terry sitting on the couch, and a gooey little thanks a lot poop on my favorite extra shaggy carpet! UGH!I ask you other moms out there with great hope of hearing a positive thought or two...How much longer until school begins??
