Keeping the stress level down

I have been finding that my stress level these days has been steadily rising and I've been trying to find ways to reduce it.  When I am under inordinate amounts of stress, managed or unmanaged, I find that my patience wears thin and then I get sick (like full on flu/cold sick).  For some strange reason it affects my immune system.

So a couple of days ago I made a decision to try to find better ways to manage my stress or at least manage myself when I feel myself getting stressed out.

*When I am approaching that LINE...(and most will know what this is)...I stop, pick up a book and go into another room and will read a chapter or two before returning to my previous activity.

*I am re-learning the hidden joys in bubble baths at night before I go to bed.

*Taking time-outs from the toxic friends in my life (Maybe toxic is a bad word to describe them, I guess I should say my friends with occasionally toxic issues.)

*And taking up forgotten about hobbies (i.e. cross-stitching).  I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this, the feeling of accomplishment when I slowly watch myself create something on the fabric.

I have noticed since implenting these things on a regular basis that I am dealing with the stress better and my patience level has remained steady!!!
