Internet Girl

They are in that stage of not wanting to leave the room because they don't want to miss a second of each other's time. It's terribly cute for a 16 and 17 year old. And I have to say, I've never seen my very introverted son without his shirt on as much as I have the last few days! LOL! I asked him about this, and he said she made him confident. Isn't that wonderful to be so young and so insightful! Wow! I wish someone, anyone, could make me feel confident enough to go around bare chested. But somehow I don't think the sagging to the belly button look is in these days!

They are already making plans for this summer. As a mom, it's pretty hard to keep from saying, "But what if it doesn't work out? What if you want to date other people?" Remember, this is the couple that said they were going to be boyfriend and girlfriend for only the 6 days they were together because they didn't want to deal with long distance dating...Hmmm...

Yes, I'm prepared to let him go to Chicago to visit her family this summer if he'd like. He'll be 18 in November, so he's a big boy who can make his own decision (how did that happen?!) But I so much want to shelter the boy's heart. He's not the type to ever break up with a girl, so I just know he'll be the one to get hurt eventually. It's a right of passage, though, that first heart break. And even as I want to surround him in cushion for that fall, I know he must eventually ride that ever present wave of love and loss...SmileyCentral.com
