Dinner...Again?

Today is a wonderfully beautiful day on the East Coast. The sun is shining, the air is crisp, and I woke up in the middle of the mattress squished between one very large 8 year old and one very large 7 year old. I was lulled back to sleep by their heavy breathing and startled back awake by the little flinstone foot that kicked me in my thigh. Ahhhh...a beautiful morning.

We crawled our lazy bottoms out of bed to start the day - chocolate chip waffles, canadian bacon (I know, I know, not very healthy), and orange juice (okay, one healthy thing!) made two happy boys - a little egg whites and ezekial bread made for a happy mama. We meandered through our school preparations, taking dogs out, bringing them in, cleaning puppy pee, brushing boys mops of hair, fixing Jake's hair for twenty  minutes, and headed out the door with our newly sprouted 50+ praying mantises!

We hatched them from egg cases (is that what they are called?) and now have too many to keep track of. The bugs we caught for them to eat last night were devoured over the course of the evening, the cotton balls still held water, and my boys felt like little royalty as they walked in to share them at school.

One of those Ahh mornings. Life is beautiful, right?Almost..You see then I returned home to check The Nest and blog, and realized that somehow, I have many mouths to feed dinner to tonight. Therein lies the problem. I'm so sick of food that I can't even think about cooking it - yet I don't want to order out. I need some help ladies - I am being pulled from my beautiful morning into the abyss of the dinner crisis and not sure what to do.

Does anyone have any quick and easy dinner tips for a big family? Otherwise, I'm thinking hamburgers and hotdogs and that's not such fun when you've already turned to it once each week.

Little help??
