Brother

I did something I never have done before. My brother lives in Portsmouth which is about 50 minutes from me. I had to go into Portsmouth to pick up my daughter's friend. So while I was there, I dropped in on my brother. To see his face when he opened the door was priceless.  When my brother and I were little, we always had people dropping in unexpectantly.  To do this to him was great.  I miss seeing them.  We only see each other now on holidays.

I am planning on seeing him next week but just wanted to stop and say hi. I also wanted to check in on my sister-in-law. She lost her mom in November and recently lost a best friend. I had to make sure she was fine. You know when you call a person they cover it up but when you are face to face, you can tell.  I wanted to let her know I was thinking about her.

I told them I wasn't staying but ended up there for  a couple of hours. It was great just to talk to them.  The girls hung out with my nephew while we talked.  It was a nice visit.
